Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Facilities Senior Engineer in Melbourne to oversee 24x7 data centre operations, coordinate maintenance, and mentor the engineering team. The role focuses on uptime, safety, and compliance within a mission-critical environment.

You will work under the Facilities Lead Engineer, managing projects, vendor teams, and maintaining essential electrical and mechanical infrastructure to meet client SLAs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience supporting 24x7 data center facility management in mission-critical environments.
• Experience supervising engineering teams and mentoring staff (min 5 members).
• Extensive knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems: switchgear, transformers, UPS, chillers, BMS, etc.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management; proficient in CMMS, BMS, DCIM, MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Execute all aspects of 24x7 data center operations, including operation, maintenance, and repair of mission-critical equipment and systems.
• Support the Facilities Lead Engineer in supervising, mentoring, and developing the Facilities Engineering team, driving performance and roster coordination.
• Maintain electrical and mechanical infrastructure per manufacturer recommendations, standards, and best practices.
• Manage contractors, service providers, consultants, and project teams for maintenance, repairs, and improvements.
• Develop, implement, and audit MOPs/SOPs/EOPs and use BMS, CMMS, DCIM to improve efficiency and energy performance.
• Conduct facilities rounds, inspections, troubleshooting, safety checks, incident follow-up, and operational reporting.
