The Missing Link, an Australian IT services and consulting organisation, is seeking an experienced Senior Microsoft Data Platform Consultant for a short-term client engagement in Sydney. You will lead the consolidation and migration of an existing Microsoft Access/Excel VBA application to Azure SQL Database.

You will work directly with business stakeholders to understand requirements, validate scope and deliver a robust, end-to-end data solution including ETL, data reconciliation and ongoing

Qualificações

• Experience with Microsoft Access and Excel VBA.
• Proven ability to lead end-to-end data migration projects.
• Ability to gather requirements from business stakeholders and deliver solutions.
• Experience with Azure SQL / SQL Server and data reconciliation.

Responsabilidades

• Analyse and consolidate multiple Microsoft Access databases.
• Validate database schemas and data integrity.
• Migrate Access schemas and data to Azure SQL.
• Develop and execute ETL and data reconciliation.
• Configure ODBC connectivity.
• Update Excel VBA database connections.
• Test existing VBA macros and forms.
• Lead UAT and resolve migration issues.
• Produce technical and handover documentation.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Microsoft Data Platform Consultant for a short-term client engagement.

About the Role

You will lead the consolidation and migration of an existing Microsoft Access / Excel VBA application to Azure SQL Database.

The client has limited internal technical capability, so you must be comfortable working directly with business stakeholders to understand the existing application, validate requirements and deliver the solution.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse and consolidate multiple Microsoft Access databases
• Validate database schemas and data integrity
• Migrate Access schemas and data to Azure SQL
• Develop and execute ETL and data reconciliation
• Configure ODBC connectivity
• Update Excel VBA database connections
• Test existing VBA macros and forms
• Lead UAT and resolve migration issues

Requirements

• Strong Microsoft Access experience
• Strong Excel VBA experience
• Azure SQL / SQL Server expertise
• Access-to-SQL migration experience
• SQL, ETL and data reconciliation skills

• Strong stakeholder and requirements-gathering skills
• Ability to independently deliver an end-to-end technical solution
