Job summary

Recruitment Hive is assisting a Commonwealth Government organisation in Brisbane to recruit a Senior Data Analyst. The role focuses on designing and maintaining data assets on a cloud data platform and translating business rules into data transformations.

You will work in a small, cross-disciplinary team and present technical options to diverse audiences. The ideal candidate has 6+ years of programming in SQL/SAS/R/Python, EDW experience, and strong data analysis skills to prototype complex

Qualifications

• 6+ years of advanced programming across SQL, SAS, R, and/or Python.
• Experience in industrialised Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) environments and understanding of data pipelines, modelling and data and reporting platform architectures.
• Extensive data analysis experience with ability to prototype high-quality solutions from complex disparate datasets.

Responsibilities

• Participate in small, multi-disciplinary teams to design, build, deploy and maintain data assets on a cloud data platform.
• Present complex technical options and results to audiences with varying levels of data literacy.
• Translate business rules into coded transformations.
• Design and prototype development of new data attributes and products.

Job description

Our client, a Commonwealth Government organisation whose focus is to provide support to Australian's living with disability, require the services of a Senior Data Analyst.

Duties:

• Active participation in small, multi-disciplinary teams, in the design, build, deployment and maintenance of data assets and data products on a cloud data platform
• Presentation of complex technical options, decisions and results tailored to audiences with different levels of technical and data literacy
• Translation of business rules and requirements into coded transformations
• Design and prototype development of new data attributes and products

Skills and Experience:

• Advanced programming expertise (6+ years) across SQL, SAS, R, and/or Python
• Experience working within an industrialised Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) environment and understanding of data pipelines, modelling and data and reporting platform architectures
• Extensive data analysis experience with a strong ability to prototype high-quality solutions from complex disparate datasets
