Job summary

The Recruitment Hive is assisting a Federal Government Department in Canberra by recruiting multiple Senior Business Process Analysts. You will lead strategic planning, mapping and modelling, and develop blueprints for future capabilities to meet evolving requirements.

Candidates should have five years+ as a Senior Lead BA with expertise in modelling, process improvement, analysis in complex contexts, and strong consulting skills. Applications close 12pm 24/09/26.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five consecutive years in a Senior Lead Business Analyst role.
• Proficient in business modelling and modelling techniques.
• Experience in designing and implementing business process improvements for efficiency and automation.
• Ability to analyse and interpret complex business situations.
• Experience in client-facing consultancy and requirement gathering.
• Experience conducting feasibility assessments with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Job description

Our client, a Federal Government Department focused on federal law enforcement, national security, criminal justice, emergency management and more is seeking Multiple Senior Business Process Analysts to join their team in late October.

Duties:

• Providing strategic planning, mapping and modelling development
• Leading gap‑analysis activities to determine whether existing departmental capabilities can meet requirements for a future visualisation capability
• Developing the solution blueprint for a future visualisation capability
• Identifying and conveying (verbally and in writing) the objective of a business need to the appropriate stakeholder level – enterprise, program, operational and project levels

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum of five (5) consecutive years performing within a Senior Lead Business Analyst role
• Business modelling level5 – Produces models in support of the business strategy; possesses in‑depth knowledge of a broad range of industry‑wide modelling techniques
• Business process improvement level5 – Manages execution of business process improvements; analyses and designs processes to identify alternative solutions for efficiency, effectiveness and automation
• Business situation analysis level5 – Plans, manages and investigates business situation analysis in ambiguous, complex contexts
• Consultancy level5 – Takes responsibility for understanding client requirements, collecting data, delivering analysis and problem resolution
• Feasibility assessment level5 – Manages investigative work to enable feasibility assessments; collaborates with stakeholders and specialists to obtain necessary information
