Job summary

Calleo in Canberra seeks a Senior Data Analyst to support data and analytics initiatives for a Federal Government client. You will provide analytical expertise for BAU reporting and uplift cloud-based analytics capabilities.

Key duties include data extraction, transformation, and reporting, developing dashboards and datasets, and mentoring agency staff to enhance internal analytics capability.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements.
• Transition workloads to cloud platforms, incl. Microsoft Fabric.
• Contribute to data governance and quality documentation.
• Provide mentoring to agency staff to grow analytics capability.
• Prepare briefing material and reports for executives.

Job Overview

Our Federal Government client is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to support the delivery of key data and analytics initiatives. The successful candidate will provide analytical expertise to support the business-as-usual reporting and analytics activities, and to uplift the company's cloud-based analytics capability.

Key duties and responsibilities

• Undertake data extraction, integration, transformation, analysis and reporting activities to support operational and strategic priorities.


• Support the delivery of the Hazard Insurance Partnership and associated analytical work programs.


• Develop and maintain analytical products, dashboards, datasets and reporting solutions.


• Analyse complex datasets to identify trends, insights and opportunities to support evidence-based decision-making.


• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver analytical outcomes.


• Support the transition of analytical workloads and reporting capabilities to cloud-based platforms, including Microsoft Fabric.


• Contribute to data governance, data quality and documentation activities.


• Provide mentoring and knowledge transfer to agency staff to build internal analytics capability.


• Prepare briefing material, reports, presentations and other analytical products for business stakeholders and executives.
