Job summary

Compas Pty Ltd is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join a Federal Government Department for a long-term engagement in Canberra. The role focuses on analysing business needs, mapping data and system interactions, and supporting enhanced data, analytics and integration capabilities.

The successful candidate will work with stakeholders to elicit and document requirements, develop process maps and use cases, and analyse data from multiple sources to inform decisions.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Analysing business processes, systems, data flows and operational requirements to identify opportunities for improvement and optimisation;
• Eliciting, documenting and validating business, functional and non-functional requirements through engagement with business and technical stakeholders;
• Developing business process maps, workflow diagrams, use cases, user stories and other analysis artefacts to support project delivery;
• Analysing data from multiple sources to identify trends, issues, risks and opportunities that support informed decision-making;

Desired Skills and Experience

• Demonstrated proficiency in SQL
• Demonstrated experience analysing business processes, data flows, system integrations
