Job summary

IT Alliance Australia is seeking a Senior Cyber Threat Analyst in Canberra to join a Federal Government client. The role focuses on developing detection content across SIEM platforms, implementing detections across SIEM/SOAR/EDR, and automating incident responses.

You will also assess AI-related security risks and collaborate with stakeholders. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in cyber security operations, strong organisational and communication skills, and experience with enterprise AI

Qualifications

• Develop detection content across at least two enterprise SIEM platforms (e.g. Splunk, Sentinel, QRadar, Elastic).
• Develop and implement detections across SIEM, SOAR and EDR with incident response automation.
• Identify and monitor AI-related security risks including Copilot/Azure AI.
• Minimum five years in cyber security operations with strong communication and stakeholder engagement.

One of our Federal Government clients is looking for Senior Cyber Threat Analyst in Canberra. We are looking for the following Skills/Experience:

• Demonstrated experience developing detection content across at least two enterprise SIEM platforms (e.g. Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, QRadar, Elastic).
• Experience developing and implementing detections across SIEM, SOAR and EDR platforms, including incident response automation and playbook development.
• Experience identifying, assessing and developing monitoring controls for AI-related security risks, including enterprise AI platforms such as Microsoft Copilot or Azure AI.
• Minimum five years' experience in cyber security operations, supported by strong organisational, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
