Job summary

Avant Mutual Group is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to design, automate and optimize security controls across cloud, SaaS and on‑prem environments. You will lead automation efforts, integrate security platforms and drive measurable risk reduction through DevSecOps practices.

The role focuses on enhancing monitoring, detection and response capabilities, ongoing remediation, and collaboration with technology teams to enable secure delivery while reducing risk.

Qualifications

• Experience in Security Engineering, Infrastructure/SaaS security or related cyber security discipline.
• Experience across multiple domains: SIEM, EDR, Cloud, Email, Network security, Vulnerability management or SASE.
• Strong networking, OS, identity, cloud and SaaS security knowledge.
• Scripting, APIs, automation and DevOps-style practices using PowerShell or Python.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain security controls across cloud, SaaS and on‑prem environments.
• Own and optimise security platforms to remain effective and aligned to business needs.
• Develop automation and DevSecOps practices to improve security operations and reduce manual work.
