Job summary

Talent seeks an experienced Cyber Security Architect to strengthen the security platforms and controls protecting a major Federal Government organisation. You’ll combine strategic architecture leadership with practical technical investigation, turning security designs into reliable solutions that support day-to-day operations.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and implementing cyber security solutions in large enterprises.
• Strong SIEM architecture experience with data flows and log integration.
• Hands-on with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and Defender for Identity.
• Knowledge of government security standards and cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and improvement of security monitoring, endpoint, identity, cloud and network security capabilities.
• Develop security logging and integration designs that support threat detection, incident investigation and audit requirements.
• Guide deployment and configuration of Microsoft Defender and related security tools across endpoints, servers and identity services.
• Investigate gaps in security coverage, configuration and system integration, and recommend practical improvements.
• Produce architecture designs, integration diagrams, technical standards and implementation roadmaps.
• Review vendor proposals and delivered solutions to confirm they meet requirements and work within the existing environment.
• Work with engineering, operations and project teams to apply government security requirements and deliver agreed improvements.
