Job summary

Sharp and Carter is seeking an experienced Security Architect to join a leading Australian professional services organisation with a large, complex national technology environment. In this senior technical and advisory role you’ll shape security architecture across major technology initiatives, provide guidance around cyber risk and controls, and ensure security is embedded into solutions from the outset.

Qualifications

• Strong security architecture experience in complex enterprise environments.
• Broad knowledge of cloud security, firewalls, EDR, SIEM, threat hunting and incident response.
• Strong enterprise architecture and networking knowledge.
• Understanding of SABSA/TOGAF, ASD Essential Eight and MITRE ATT&CK.
• Exposure to frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST and CPS 234.
• Strong communication and consultative skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A collaborative approach and genuine interest in mentoring others.

Responsibilities

• Review solution designs and recommend appropriate security controls
• Develop reusable security patterns, standards and reference architectures
• Identify security risks, vulnerabilities and opportunities for improvement

Joining an established Information Security team, this is a senior technical and advisory role where you’ll help shape security architecture across major technology initiatives, provide guidance around cyber risk and controls, and ensure security is embedded into solutions from the outset.

With significant technology investment underway, including a major focus on AI and emerging technologies, there is genuine greenfield opportunity to help build new security foundations and influence future technology strategy.
