Job summary

Decipher Bureau in Melbourne is seeking a structured Senior Project Manager to lead a varied portfolio of cyber security initiatives, including AI security, SSDLC and more.

You will drive scope, schedule and budget, coordinate across cyber, technology, vendors and business stakeholders, and report to senior leaders. The role offers hybrid working and a 12-month contract with a competitive daily rate.

We’re partnering with a major ASX-listed critical infrastructure organisation to find a structured, detail-driven Senior Project Manager to lead a varied portfolio of cyber security projects.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading delivery across a portfolio of cyber security projects spanning AI, secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC) and more.
• Bringing structure and discipline to scope, schedule, budget, quality, risks, dependencies and benefits realisation.
• Coordinating delivery across cyber security, technology, vendors and business stakeholders.
• Running governance and reporting appropriate to each project, and providing clear status, risk and recommendations to senior leaders and steering committees.
• Proactively removing blockers and resolving stakeholder conflicts to keep projects on track.
• Supporting transition to BAU and adoption of new security controls and processes.

Experience Needed

• Strong, proven project management capability, with a structured approach to scope, schedule and budget.
• Experience delivering cyber security projects. Exposure to AI security, SSDLC, vulnerability management or threat remediation is highly regarded.
• Confidence engaging everyone from engineers to executives.
• Experience across complex, multi-vendor and multi-stakeholder environments.
• Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery models.
• Exposure to critical infrastructure frameworks (SOCI, AESCSF, ASD guidance) is a bonus.
