Job summary

Transport for NSW is seeking a skilled cyber security professional to join an expert team, delivering cyber defence, risk management and resilience services across operations. You will analyse data, build dashboards and improve controls to protect critical systems in a busy NSW environment.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to translate complex findings into actionable improvements, while prioritising tasks to meet deadlines and maintain high quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering cyber defence and resilience services to support organisational security objectives.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data, identify risks, and provide actionable insights and recommendations.
• Hands-on technical skills with cyber security tools and platforms (Splunk, Entra, Azure MFA, CSPM, Qualys, Saviynt, CheckMarx, Delinea, Airlock).

In this role, you'll:

• You’ll be part of an expert team who transform cyber security capabilities and deliver continuous uplifts to protect against thousands of threats every day.
• You will deliver cyber defence, risk and resilience services across areas such as security operations, intelligence and response.
• You will conduct research and analysis to continuously improve cyber security services and reduce cyber and technology risks across the organisation and broader cluster.
• You will analyse data to identify trends, define use cases and personas and develop and implement tools and frameworks that strengthen cyber risk management and promote consistent best practices across the environment.
• You will monitor, evaluate and enhance cyber security controls across core capabilities while building strong stakeholder relationships to drive improved cyber defence, risk and resilience outcomes.

About You

• Possess demonstrable experience in delivering cyber defence and resilience services to support organisational security objectives.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data, identify risks, and provide actionable insights and recommendations.
• Hands on technical skills in scripting / coding / configuration of prevalent cyber security tools and platforms such as Splunk, Entra and Azure MFA, CSPM, Qualys, Saviynt, CheckMarx, Delinea, Airlock.
• Develop dashboards and reports using structured and unstructured data to effectively communicate presentation of complex information.
• Be able to manage competing priorities efficiently, ensuring deadlines are met while maintaining high-quality outcomes.
