Job summary

Transport for NSW is seeking a hands-on cyber security professional to support cyber readiness, resilience and threat intelligence across a large critical infrastructure environment. You will work directly with cyber tools and collaborate with incident responders and leadership to strengthen preparedness and response must be NV1 clearance and able to operate in a hybrid work model.

In this role, you'll:

Be hands‑on across cyber readiness and resilience activities, supporting cyber exercises, vulnerability uplift coordination, threat‑informed readiness preparation, and data collection for reporting.

You will conduct and support cyber readiness exercises, maintain playbooks, procedures, and registers, and integrate threat intelligence into readiness planning to strengthen organisational preparedness.

You will work directly with cyber tools and OSINT aggregation platforms to monitor, analyse, and correlate open‑source threat intelligence from security advisories, forums, and public data sources.

The role contributes to readiness metrics, dashboards, and continuous improvement initiatives, delivering visible and practical outcomes across a hybrid working model. NV1 clearance is required.

About you

You are a hands‑on cyber security professional with foundational experience in cyber readiness, incident response, vulnerability management, and threat intelligence.

You are comfortable working directly across tools and supporting real‑world readiness and resilience uplift activities within complex environments.

You enjoy collaborating across technical teams, incident responders, and leadership, and are motivated by seeing your work directly improve cyber preparedness and response.

With exposure to real threat intelligence and resilience activities, you bring a practical mindset and a strong interest in embedding cyber readiness across a large, critical infrastructure organisation.
