Anton Murray Consulting in Sydney is seeking a seasoned Custody Operations / Middle Office Specialist with extensive HiPort experience to join our client’s growing team. The role focuses on overseeing trade settlement, corporate actions, and reconciliations across multiple asset classes.

You will support offshore teams, drive process improvements, and mentor junior staff while ensuring compliance and client service excellence within a fast-paced financial services environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in custody operations or a middle office role.
• Strong knowledge of HiPort and a variety of asset types.
• Thorough understanding of custody operations including trade settlement, corporate actions, and reconciliations.
• Hands-on with problem solving and implementing change.

Responsibilities

• Providing expert oversight and management of the custody middle office function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions, corporate actions, and other key activities
• Collaborating with operations, client services, and accounting to resolve complex issues and optimise workflows
• Implementing and maintaining robust controls and procedures to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies
• Analysing data and generating insightful reports to support informed decision-making by senior management
• Mentoring and developing a team of middle office specialists, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence
• Identifying and driving process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and client satisfaction
