Job summary

National Australia Bank is seeking a Senior Analyst, Credit Strategies to help shape automated credit decisioning for Australia’s largest business lending portfolio, based in Sydney. You will work closely with the Business Lending Credit strategies team to drive data-driven decisions that enhance customer outcomes and portfolio performance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in an analyst role within financial services, credit risk, or data analytics.
• Strong numerical and analytical capability with hands-on Python.
• Understanding of decision science, predictive modelling and data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, implementation and refinement of automated credit strategies across Business Lending.
• Use data and analytics to identify risks, gaps, root-causes and opportunities to enable targeted intervention and improve automation effectiveness.
• Develop reporting and insights on End-to-End credit process health, strategy implementation, performance and control monitoring.
• Collaborate with Risk, Product, Data, Automation and Technology teams to deliver commercially effective and risk-aligned credit initiatives.
• Contribute to proof-of-concepts using external data, automation and emerging decisioning tools.
• Translate technical findings into clear and actionable recommendations and build your influence with key stakeholders.
