Citi in Sydney is seeking a Senior Credit Risk Officer to join the Independent Risk Management team supporting the Citi Commercial Bank. You will hold individual credit authority and play a decisive role in maintaining the quality and integrity of the CCB's lending portfolio across Australian clients.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in corporate banking or credit risk management.
• Experience as a credit officer with delegated authority.
• Proven track record in mid-market or large corporate lending.
• Expert knowledge of credit principles and risk frameworks.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Independent, high-integrity decision making in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as final credit approver for Citi Commercial Bank proposals across new, renewals, and modifications.
• Assess complex credit proposals by evaluating financial performance, structure, industry dynamics, business strategy, and risk factors.
• Conduct both historical and forward-looking financial analysis and cash flow modelling to inform credit outcomes.
• Monitor an assigned commercial portfolio, identify early signs of deterioration, and design risk mitigation actions.
• Ensure compliance with Citi risk policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with Relationship Managers, Underwriters, and front-line teams on credit structuring and risk identification.
• Mentor junior risk analysts and partners to strengthen credit analysis capabilities.
• Contribute to portfolio reviews, stress testing, and strategic risk initiatives for leadership insight.
