Job summary

Macquarie Bank Limited in Australia seeks a Senior Analyst/Manager in Credit Risk for Corporate and Institutional Banking, based in Sydney or Melbourne. You will analyse new and existing loans for Corporate and Institutional clients and may progress to a Delegated Lending Authority for SME and other corporate transactions.

Key responsibilities include financial analysis, risk assessment, and collaboration with deal teams to achieve prudent, commercial outcomes in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in credit risk management in business lending, with experience lending to corporate or institutional counterparties.
• Ability to interpret financial statements and critically analyse transactions in the context of business strategy, risk appetite, sector research and macroeconomic developments.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to navigate challenging conversations to deliver prudent but commercial outcomes.
• Resilience, and strong work ethic in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• You will analyse new and existing loans for Corporate and Institutional Banking clients.
• You will conduct financial analysis, structure, diligence and model review, working with the deal team to deliver prudent, commercial outcomes.
• This role may provide opportunity to obtain a Delegated Lending Authority and exercise decisions on SME, Commercial and other Corporate transactions.
