Job summary

Linesight in Sydney, AU seeks a Senior Cost Manager - Utilities to lead cost control on major projects. You will actively participate in tendering, draft commercial and contractual correspondence, and manage approvals and payments in line with contracts.

You will oversee spend, produce valuations and cost reports, maintain cost documentation, and foster strong client and team relationships in a dynamic environment.

In this role you will:

• Actively participate in the tender/bid process--from initial tender/bid documentation through analysis and reporting
• Assist in drafting new commercial , variations and contractual correspondence
• Manage the Contract and Purchase Order approvals processand take ownership oftracking and communication of approvalsto internal and external stakeholdersto ensure the process isfacilitatedefficiently and effectively
• Oversee project spend by creating valuations and cost reports, and clearly communicate variations to your team
• Manage contract lifecycle, coordinate payments to ensure payment with contract payment terms and assist in reporting of key contract metrics
• Support nimble project management and clear decisions through excellent cost documentation and timely communication

We would love to hear from you if you:

• Have successfully supported projects in a commercial or commercial role in a complex construction or development environment, specifically in utilities or in the data centre sector
• Have experience in pre- and post-contract cost management on varied projects
• Have a degree or comparable experience in a related construction discipline
• Are an excellent communicator verbally and in writing
• Love a dynamic environment with the opportunity to manage your own priorities and deadlines
