Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Senior/Associate Cost Manager to lead end-to-end cost management commissions on medium to large construction projects in Australia. You will act as the day-to-day client interface, ensuring objectives are met and providing robust cost control across the project lifecycle.

The role includes preparing feasibility studies, cost plans, tender documents and managing procurement, contracts and post‑contract cost control.

Qualifications

• Australian citizen with Baseline clearance or UK citizen with UK Security Clearance
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
• MRICS and/or AIQS accreditation
• 6–11 years’ consultancy experience in construction
• Experience leading cost management on complex projects/programmes
• Strong procurement, value management and value engineering knowledge
• People management experience in project/consultancy
• Understanding of full project lifecycle from inception to post-completion
• Experience with CostX, CATO and CADMeas (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end cost management commissions on medium to large, complex construction projects
• Act as day-to-day client interface to ensure objectives are met
• Deliver projects on time, cost and quality across lifecycle
• Produce feasibility studies, cost plans, procurement strategies and tender documents
• Manage tendering and procurement from prequalification to contract award
• Provide post-contract cost control including valuations, change management and reporting
• Mentor and manage cost management team members
• Contribute to business development through client engagement and bid support
