Job summary

Marsh Risk is seeking a Principal Broker to join our Corporate and Commercial team in Cairns or Townsville. This hybrid role requires in-office presence of at least three days per week and offers exposure to a diverse portfolio of risks and large new business tenders.

You will lead broker strategies, grow key revenue accounts, onboard clients, and build senior relationships with insurers. A track record of 5+ years in commercial broking and new business development is essential to succeed in

Qualifications

5+ years of commercial broking experience.
Proven ability to produce new business.
Extensive knowledge of risks and insurance products for key industry sectors.
Strong market presence within General Insurance.

Responsibilities

Grow a corporate/commercial portfolio of key revenue-generating accounts while ensuring high-quality customer service.
Develop, pursue and convert new business opportunities.
Grow a commercial portfolio through new logo and organic expanded opportunities.
On-board new clients and deliver on our value proposition.
Develop and maintain meaningful working relationships with insurers at a senior level.
Lead, plan, and implement effective renewal and broking strategies.
Ensure effective account retention and defense strategies are in place for all clients.
Actively participate in all claim-related matters and track new business opportunities.
