Job summary

Marsh in Sydney is seeking a Principal Broker to join our Commercial team. The role is based in Sydney and operates on a hybrid model requiring a minimum of three days in the office, ideal for an experienced broker managing a commercial or corporate portfolio.

You will lead renewals, develop new business opportunities, onboard clients and build senior insurer relationships while expanding a diverse portfolio of risks and complex programs.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of commercial broking experience.
• Proven ability to generate new business.
• Extensive knowledge of risks and insurance products for key industry sectors.
• Strong market presence within General Insurance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a portfolio of key revenue-generating accounts with high-quality service.
• Develop, pursue and convert new business opportunities.
• Grow a commercial portfolio through new logos and expanded opportunities.
• On-board new clients and deliver Marsh's value proposition.
• Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with insurers at a senior level.
• Lead renewal and broking strategies.
• Ensure account retention and renewal defenses for all clients.
• Actively participate in claim-related matters and track new business opportunities.
