Charterhouse, partnering with ACU, is seeking an SME for Workday Core HCM within a major ERP transformation. The role supports ACU’s People and Capability Directorate across the Workday program, aligning HR processes with strategy and ensuring scalable, compliant outcomes.

Based in Melbourne, with opportunities for Sydney or Brisbane, you’ll translate complex HR requirements into practical Workday designs, lead core HCM workstreams, and partner with Finance, IT and business stakeholders to

Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline with significant experience in HR Operations or Core HCM.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end employee lifecycle processes, preferably within higher education.
• Hands-on experience with Workday Core HCM.
• Experience on a Workday implementation, or an equivalent transformation program.
• Experience gathering and documenting business requirements, and developing and running UAT/SIT scenarios.
• Strong understanding of HR data and data governance.
• Ability to translate business requirements into practical Workday solutions.
• Advanced written, verbal and presentation skills.
• Commitment to cultural diversity and ethical practice, and knowledge of equal employment opportunity and workplace health and safety.

Responsabilités

• Provide SME guidance across the end-to-end employee lifecycle in Workday Core HCM.
• Translate HR requirements into Workday design and configuration.
• Lead solution design supporting national standardisation and future-state service delivery.
• Review and validate test scenarios, acceptance criteria, and user stories.
• Act as the senior Core HCM voice across stakeholders and program teams.
• Support change, training and adoption by identifying how Workday decisions affect users.
• Identify and mitigate complex process issues and implementation risks.
