Job summary

Athena is seeking a Senior Conveyancer or Conveyancing File Manager to join our established Adelaide practice. You will own a diverse portfolio of conveyancing matters, from initial instructions through to settlement, with emphasis on independence and accuracy.

Required is extensive experience in South Australian conveyancing, strong technical skills with PEXA and conveyancing software, and a proactive, reliable approach to meeting critical dates and client expectations in a supportive team

• Ability to manage files from initial instructions to settlement without supervision.

Responsibilities

• Own a diverse portfolio of conveyancing matters and manage them end-to-end.
• Prepare and review Contracts and Form 1.
• Manage PE XA workspace, settlements and electronic settlements.
• Liaise with clients, solicitors, financial institutions and real estate agents.
• Identify and resolve conveyancing issues and manage deadlines.

Athena is seeking an accomplished Senior Conveyancer or Conveyancing File Manager to join our established Adelaide practice.

We are looking for someone with extensive practical experience in South Australian conveyancing, excellent technical knowledge and the confidence to independently manage conveyancing matters from beginning to end.

About the Role

You will take ownership of a diverse portfolio of conveyancing matters, including:

• Residential property purchases and sales.
• Contract and Form 1 preparation and review.
• Off-the-plan, land division and commercial property transactions.
• PEXA workspace management, settlement preparation and electronic settlements.
• Liaising directly with clients, solicitors, financial institutions, real estate agents and other stakeholders.
• Independently identifying and resolving conveyancing issues.
• Managing files, critical dates and settlement deadlines accurately and efficiently.

About You

• Extensive Experience: Comprehensive hands-on knowledge of South Australian conveyancing practices, legislation and settlement procedures.
• Proven Independence: The ability to confidently manage files from initial instructions through to settlement without requiring technical training or routine day-to-day supervision.
• Excellent Problem-Solving Skills: Sound professional judgement and the initiative to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
• Strong Technical Skills: Proficiency in PEXA and conveyancing software.
• Accountability and Reliability: A proactive, organised and responsible approach to managing your workload and meeting deadlines.
• Exceptional Communication: Professional, responsive and personable communication with clients and stakeholders.
• Client Accessibility: Willingness to provide a mobile contact number of your choosing (personal or separately arranged) for inclusion in your professional email signature, allowing clients to contact you directly during ordinary business hours. No after-hours work or availability is expected.
• Registration as a conveyancer is welcomed but not essential. We value demonstrated capability and practical experience above formal titles.
