Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong background in robotics controls and developing control algorithms for robotic systems.
• Familiarity with robotic hardware platforms, PLC programming (Rockwell, Siemens, Omron), sensors, and actuators.
• Solid understanding of control theory, including PID, state-space, and adaptive control.
• Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills for cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and optimise control algorithms for bespoke systems; 3+ years stated experience with industrial robots desirable.
• Design and integrate control systems for real-time operation with precise movement, sensing, and interaction.
• Collaborate with mechanical design, control engineering, and production teams for seamless integration.
• Conduct simulations and testing to validate control algorithms and optimise performance to meet cycle times.
• Troubleshoot control system issues to ensure reliability and smooth operation.
• Stay updated with robotics controls advancements across vendors and identify opportunities for innovation.
• Document design processes, specifications, and produce technical reports.
