Job summary

Exclusive Talent is seeking a Control System Engineer/Technical Operations Engineer in Sydney’s South-West for an industrial automation role. You will own projects from site investigations to commissioning, collaborating with leadership, electricians, technicians, clients and suppliers.

You will design electrical, control and automation systems, develop PLC software and diagrams, and support tendering, budgeting and proposals. Travel to client sites is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in industrial automation, controls or electrical project engineering.
• A degree in Electrical, Mechatronic, Automation, Software or related field.
• Strong PLC programming experience with Siemens TIA Portal or Rockwell.
• Experience developing PLC, HMI and SCADA systems and reading electrical drawings.
• Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical, control, instrumentation and automation designs.
• Prepare scopes of work, control philosophies and technical specifications.
• Prepare proposals, fees, estimates and tender docs.
• Design PLC, HMI, SCADA, networking and control panels.
• Review electrical schematics, I/O schedules, cable & loop diagrams.
• Specify equipment and develop PLC software across platforms.
• Configure industrial networks and system interfaces.
• Lead commissioning and handover activities with clients.
