Job summary

Paradigm Engineers, a Perth-based engineering consultancy, seeks a Senior Control Systems Engineer to own control system scope across mining, mineral processing and infrastructure projects. You will design and program PLC/SCADA solutions across Rockwell, Schneider, Siemens, Citect, and modern HMI platforms, while producing robust documentation and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent tertiary qualification.
• Demonstrated PLC and/or SCADA programming experience.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and develop control designs from varied inputs.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capability.
• Clear and effective communication, both written and in person.
• Mineral processing, bulk materials handling, or stockyard systems experience is advantageous.
• Familiarity with functional safety, IT/OT networks, virtualised environments, or Python/PowerShell/Linux is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing control systems solutions that meet client requirements and industry standards.
• PLC and SCADA programming across platforms including Rockwell, Schneider, Siemens, Citect, FactoryTalk View, and Wonderware.
• Producing high-quality technical documentation including specifications, reports, procedures, and manuals.
• Supporting site visits and commissioning activities.
• Mentoring and providing technical guidance to less experienced engineers.
• Collaborating with clients and project teams to keep work aligned and on track.
