Job summary

Hudson is seeking an experienced Contracts Specialist to support a major capital project in the resources sector in Western Australia. You will manage end-to-end contract lifecycle activities, prepare RFx documentation, lead commercial evaluations, and negotiate with suppliers, ensuring robust risk management and governance across the program.

You will work with project, engineering, procurement and operations teams, drawing on SAP/Ariba systems and a strong QS background to optimise commercial

Qualifications

• Experience on major mining, resources, infrastructure or construction projects.
• Pre- and post-award contract management experience.
• Experience with SAP/Ariba or a comparable ERP/procurement system.
• Experience managing contracts from client/owner or contractor side.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end contract lifecycle across major project packages.
• Prepare RFx documentation and support tender processes.
• Lead commercial evaluations, negotiations and contract recommendations.
• Draft, review and administer contract documentation.
• Manage variations, claims, extensions of time and contractor performance.
• Provide commercial and contractual advice to project stakeholders.
• Maintain contract registers, governance documentation, reporting and risk management processes.
• Monitor contractual obligations and support supplier relationships.
• Identify commercial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Support continuous improvement across contract management processes.
