Job summary

Hudson is seeking an experienced Contracts Specialist to support mining projects and manage a portfolio of complex commercial contracts. You will independently manage contracts, procurement activities and commercial matters in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities include leading tender processes, negotiating terms, and providing strategic commercial advice to project teams and stakeholders within the mining sector.

Qualifications

• 6+ years' contracts, commercial or procurement experience in mining projects.
• Experience managing complex and high-value contracts in the mining or resources sector.
• Strong end-to-end contract management and procurement experience.
• Experience working directly with project teams, contractors and operational stakeholders.
• Strong commercial acumen, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to independently manage contractual issues, risk, claims and variations.
• Desirable: tertiary qualification in Law, Procurement, Business, Commerce or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Manage contracts through the full lifecycle, from tender and negotiation through to administration, variations and close-out.
• Lead procurement and tender processes, including commercial evaluations and negotiations.
• Provide commercial and contractual advice to project and operational stakeholders.
• Manage contractor performance, variations, claims, disputes and contractual risk.
• Support project teams with commercial decision-making and contract governance.
• Identify opportunities to improve commercial outcomes, supplier performance and procurement processes.
