Job summary

Design & Build Recruitment – Melbourne CBD is seeking an experienced Contracts Administrator to support a boutique builder with commercial and residential projects up to $10m. You will manage subcontractor packages, progress claims, subcontracts, and project expenditure while administering RFIs and the HSE system on-site in Melbourne CBD.

The role requires a minimum of 4 years’ experience with head contractors in Australia, with knowledge of VIC market and strong contract-law understanding.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years' experience as a Contracts Administrator for a Head Contractor in Australia (Residential or Commercial).
• Experience in procuring structural packages is essential.
• Procore experience will be highly regarded.
• Strong understanding of construction legislation and contract law.
• Knowledge of VIC construction market and subcontractors.
• Strong attention to detail and proven communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of subcontractor packages, scopes, lettings, procurement schedules
• Progress claim assistance and external variations
• Review, negotiation and finalisation of subcontracts
• Management and tracking of project expenditure, inclusive of subcontractor claims
• Administration of RFIs to clients, architects and consultants
• Administration of the project HSE system
• Supporting the management of a Cadet
