Job summary

Platform Constructions on the Gold Coast region seeks an experienced Contracts Administrator with a strong background in Head Contracts and Subcontracts for $100m+ projects. The role requires knowledge of the BIF Act Qld, and the ability to direct scope writing for all trades with site manager support.

You will coordinate junior CA and admin staff, manage project costs, budgets, and reporting, and ensure compliance with the QLD Security of Payments Act.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Business, Procurement, Law, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction or similar.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in a Contracts Administrator role within High-Rise Residential Construction.
• Proven experience as Contracts Administrator for mid-tier or upper tier construction companies.
• Strong knowledge of contract administration for Head and Subcontracts.
• Well-developed research, analytical and problem-solving skills with reporting capabilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for reports and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare subcontractor packages, scopes, lettings, and procurement schedules.
• Participate in scope planning to minimise gaps and maximise cost efficiencies.
• Negotiate contract terms with subcontractors and administer obligations.
• Support and coordinate review/approval of payment claims under the Security of Payments Act.
• Assess subcontractor variations with construction teams.
• Implement forecasting and cost control processes and strategies.
• Produce timely, accurate cost analyses and variances with forecasts.
• Create and manage cost control and PCG reports across projects.
• Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders through regular reporting and meetings.
