Job summary

Randstad Australia is recruiting a Senior Commercial Manager / Contracts Specialist to lead commercial strategy across a major infrastructure portfolio in Brisbane. This is a contract role with substantial scope, handling complex claims, risk mitigation, and contract administration while guiding delivery teams.

Qualifications

• Extensive track record in commercial management on major Australian infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of standard Australian contracts (AS 2124, AS 4000, etc.) and Security of Payment.
• Experience in dispute resolution, claims assessment, and commercial negotiation.

Responsibilities

• Review complex variation claims, determinations, and entitlement assessments.
• Act as escalation lead for contractual disputes and coordinate with external legal advisers when needed.
• Draft and refine notices to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with contract procedures.
• Coach internal teams on contract administration and best practices.
• Analyze portfolio-wide variation trends and contribute to improvements in standard forms and procurement frameworks.
