Job summary

Design & Build is seeking a Senior Contracts Administrator to join a Tier 1 construction team on a landmark $800M healthcare project in Australia. You will own key commercial and contractual responsibilities across the project, collaborating with the Project Manager, subcontractors, consultants and client.

We look for a proven performer skilled in managing significant subcontract packages on large-scale projects, with strong negotiation and stakeholder management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage subcontractor packages from procurement through to final account.
• Prepare, negotiate and administer subcontract agreements.
• Manage variations, EOTs, progress claims and contractual correspondence.
• Monitor project costs, budgets and commercial performance.
• Support procurement and subcontractor negotiations.
• Manage commercial risks and resolve contractual issues.
• Work with the project team to ensure commercial outcomes.
• Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, consultants and key stakeholders.

Senior Contracts Administrator

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Contracts Administrator to join a highly regarded Tier 1 construction business on a landmark $800M healthcare project.

This is a major project environment suited to a capable and proven performer who has a strong track record delivering large-scale construction projects and is comfortable managing complex commercial and contractual requirements.

You will be working as part of a high-performing project team, you will take ownership of key commercial and contractual responsibilities across the project, working closely with the Project Manager, subcontractors, consultants and client.

The Role

• Managing subcontractor packages from procurement through to final account
• Preparing, negotiating and administering subcontract agreements
• Managing variations, EOTs, progress claims and contractual correspondence
• Monitoring project costs, budgets and commercial performance
• Supporting procurement and subcontractor negotiations
• Managing commercial risks and resolving contractual issues
• Working closely with the project team to ensure commercial outcomes are achieved
• Maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors, consultants and key stakeholders

About You

• Experience working on large-scale projects valued at $80M+
• A strong background within commercial, healthcare, infrastructure or similarly complex construction environments
• Proven experience independently managing significant subcontract packages
• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• The ability to operate effectively in a large project team
• A track record of delivering results in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
• Experience with CHEOPS, ProcurePro, Payapps or Aconex would be highly advantageous
• A proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach
