Job summary

Gough Recruitment Melbourne is seeking an experienced Senior Contract Administrator to join a growing Tier 2 builder in Melbourne. You will own major trade packages from procurement through construction to final account.

You will manage cost reporting, variations and commercial risk with the Project Manager and broader delivery team on a $150 million development, offering strong career progression within a growing Victorian team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience as Contract Administrator/Senior CA.
• Experience with Tier 1 or Tier 2 builders.
• Projects valued at $100M+.
• Experience in apartments/hotels/student accommodation.
• Proven ability to manage packages from procurement to completion.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts and subcontract administration.
• Excellent commercial, negotiation and cost-management skills.
• Forecasting and reporting capabilities.
• Ability to independently manage multiple packages.
• Relevant construction, QS or engineering qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Managing major trade packages from procurement through to completion.
• Preparing tender packages, scopes and subcontractor comparisons.
• Negotiating and letting subcontract packages.
• Managing progress claims, variations and contractual correspondence.
• Cost reporting, forecasting and maintaining project budgets.
• Identifying and managing commercial and contractual risks.
• Working with Project Manager and delivery team.
• Managing subcontractor performance and commercial outcomes.
• Driving packages through final account and close-out.
• Supporting junior commercial team members.
