Job summary

Elm Building Group in Canberra seeks an experienced Senior Contract Administrator to lead contract administration, procurement and project cost reporting across commercial and residential builds. You will work closely with the GM, PMs and Project Engineer to keep projects on track and financially sound.

The role demands strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, progress claims and variations, with excellent communication across clients, consultants and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Experience in contract administration within the building and construction industry.
• Sound knowledge of construction contracts, procurement, progress claims and variations.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications and contract documentation.
• Commercial awareness and ability to track project costs, commitments and forecasts.
• Excellent organisation and time management with multiple projects.
• Clear communication with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Lead contract administration, procurement and project cost reporting to meet quality, time and cost objectives.
• Prepare tender packages and subcontract agreements.
• Assess progress claims and manage variation documentation.
• Track costs and maintain accurate project records.
