Job summary

Parklife Metro JV, employed by Webuild, seeks a Downstream Senior Contract Administrator at Badgerys Creek. You will manage pre- and post-contract administration of subcontractor and supplier contracts to keep the construction program on track.

Responsibilities include cost control, negotiations, claims assessment, RFIs, and mentoring in the Contracts Administration Training Development Program.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Building, Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
• 3–5 years contract administration and procurement experience in Australian construction.
• Strong cost forecasting, cash flow analysis and subcontractor claims experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and let contracts to subcontractors and suppliers to maintain the construction schedule.
• Prepare subcontractor packages, scopes, lettings and procurement schedules.
• Progress claim assistance and handling external variations.
• Review, negotiate and finalise subcontracts.
• Monitor project expenditure, including subcontractor claims and payments.
• Administer RFIs to clients, architects and consultants.
• Track subcontractor performance against scope and program; control variations and extensions of time.
• Manage cost control, forecast revisions, cashflow and financial reporting.
• Mentor junior team members in Contracts Administration training.

The Opportunity:

Employed by Webuild, Parklife Metro is seeking a Downstream Senior Contract Administrator to join our team based at Badgerys Creek.

As a Senior Contract Administrator - Downstream, you will be responsible for the pre and post-contract administration of subcontractor and supplier contracts.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Previous experience in a site-based or construction administration role
• Coordinate and let contracts to subcontractors and suppliers to maintain the construction and resources schedule. Preparation of subcontractor packages, scopes, lettings, procurement schedules
• Progress claim assistance and external variations
• Review, negotiation and finalisation of subcontracts
• Management and tracking of project expenditure, inclusive of subcontractor claim
• Administration of RFIs to clients, architects and consultants
• Manage and administer the subcontractor's performance against the scope of works and construction program and control authorisation of variations, extensions of time and payments
• Monitor and maintain cost control, forecast revisions, cashflow and project financial reporting
• Develop and expand the knowledge of the commercial team on your project, including taking a lead mentoring role for those participating in the Contracts Administration Training Development Program

Criteria:

• Tertiary Qualified in Building or Construction Management, Civil Engineering or relevant field
• 3-5 years professional Contract Administration and Procurement experience in the Australian construction industry
• A diligent self-starter who is confident to prepare cost forecasts, cash flow analysis, and assess financial outcomes on complex construction projects, as well as assess supplier and subcontractor claims, and prepare payment schedules
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
• Good communication and analytical skills
