Job summary

ICON Group in Canberra is seeking a Senior Contract Administrator to lead the commercial management of a major education project in Strathnairn, ACT. You will work with project delivery teams, consultants and subcontractors to drive commercial outcomes and manage risk, from procurement through final accounts.

You will bring proven experience in commercial construction, procurement, and contract management, with strong stakeholder skills, and a collaborative approach to project leadership.

Qualifications

  • Experience delivering commercial construction projects within Tier 1, Tier 2 or reputable mid-tier contractors.
  • Demonstrated experience managing procurement, subcontractor packages and project financials.
  • Strong commercial acumen and contractual knowledge.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a high-performing team.
  • Relevant qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or related discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Managing end-to-end contract administration across the project lifecycle.
  • Leading subcontractor procurement and package management.
  • Negotiating and administering subcontract agreements.
  • Managing variations, progress claims and cost forecasting.
  • Driving project budgets, reporting and financial performance.
  • Working closely with project and site teams to achieve strong commercial outcomes.
  • Identifying and mitigating commercial risk.
  • Building productive relationships with subcontractors, consultants and key stakeholders.
  • Providing commercial guidance and support throughout project delivery.

About You

You are an experienced Contract Administrator or Senior Contract Administrator who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and takes pride in delivering quality outcomes.

You'll Bring

  • Demonstrated experience managing procurement, subcontractor packages and project financials
