Job summary
SMEC is seeking a Senior to Principal Environmental Scientist/Engineer (Contaminated Land) to join our Sydney team. Lead complex investigations, provide technical leadership, mentor staff, and drive growth of our Environmental business.
You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across infrastructure and energy projects, develop high-quality reports, and support travel for fieldwork, with flexible working arrangements and career development opportunities.
Qualifications
- Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Certified Environmental Practitioner credential.
Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver complex contaminated land investigations, assessments, and remediation projects.
- Provide technical leadership and oversight of high-quality interpretive reporting.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, resources and client expectations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulators and stakeholders.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and contribute to proposals.
