Job summary

Roland Berger in Sydney is seeking a Senior Consultant / Project Manager to lead a broad range of transactions-focused projects for the Financial Sponsor community. You will guide opportunity identification, due diligence and value realisation across multiple industries, while developing a strong client presence.

You will work with stakeholders at all levels, coach junior staff, and build robust financial models.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of work experience in strategy consulting or 4–8 years in transactions (e.g., consulting, investment banking)
• Proven transaction delivery experience in buy side and sell side services, including due diligence
• Experience in value creation and performance improvement
• Experience with Financial Sponsor clients (Private Equity, Private Credit, Infrastructure Funds)
• Experience managing others and delegating work to junior team members
• Strong analytical and financial modelling skills; capable of using data tools and new technologies

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of work in modules of larger projects or lead smaller projects
• Work with client stakeholders at all levels
• Coach and develop consultants in project teams
• Lead stakeholder engagement (interviews, discussions)
• Perform problem structuring, analysis and synthesis of insights
• Conduct market, customer and competitive analysis
• Build and deliver robust financial models as needed
• Communicate content clearly in writing and verbally
• Support client relationship management and business development
