Job summary

Roland Berger opens a Sydney office and seeks entrepreneurial consultants to join the Transaction & Investor Services team. As a Consultant, you will contribute to projects for Financial Sponsor clients across the transaction lifecycle, from opportunity identification through due diligence and value realisation.

The role offers exposure to diverse sectors and opportunities for personal growth. You will conduct market studies, perform diagnostics, and help prepare presentations and workshops

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of work experience in strategy consulting, ideally in transactions.
• Experience working with Financial Sponsor clients (e.g., Private Equity, Private Credit).
• Outstanding graduate or postgraduate credentials from a leading academic institution.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Job Description

As a Consultant at Roland Berger and a key member of our rapidly growing Transaction & Investor Services team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a wide range of projects serving the Financial Sponsor community. We serve investor and strategic clients throughout the transaction lifecycle, from opportunity identification through due diligence, and post-transaction value realisation, and exit readiness. Our team works across industry sectors spanning Consumer, Healthcare, Financial Services, Technology, Business Services, Industrials and many others.

Transaction & Investor Services is the initial focus of Roland Berger's Australian business. Our widespread recognition and extensive network are key factors in our success. As a Consultant at Roland Berger you will:

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with the following criteria:

• You must have 2-4 years of work experience in strategy consulting ideally in the field of transactions e.g. consulting, investment banking
• Experience in value creation (both top line growth and bottom-line performance improvement) and working with Financial Sponsor clients (e.g. Private Equity, Private Credit, Infrastructure Funds, etc) will be valued
• Outstanding graduate or postgraduate academic credentials from a leading academic institution
• Possess outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
• Fluent English language communication skills, both written and verbalProven analytical, financial modelling, commercial, creative, and narrative skills
• You combine analytical thinking with the use of digital tools, are enthusiastic about utilizing innovative, AI-based solutions, and possess the ability to effectively apply new technologies and data skills to complex issues
• An appreciation of the consulting lifestyle and willingness to travel is a pre-requisite
• You are an Australian citizen or possess Australian residency
