Job summary

BellchambersBarrett is a Canberra-based advisory firm delivering audit, assurance, consulting, tax, and business services. The IT Audit team provides assurance across Federal and State Government programs, applying risk insights to strengthen controls and governance.

You will lead ICT audit, cyber and program assurance engagements, review complex deliverables, and coach junior team members while collaborating with partners and senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience working with Federal or State Government.
• Experience with overseeing and supporting enterprise ICT environments (Active Directory, M365, Linux System Administration, Database Administration).
• Knowledge of industry-recognised frameworks, such as: ISM, PSPF, Essential Eight, COBIT or ISO 27001.
• Data analysis experience (SQL, PowerBI, Python) is preferred.
• Eligible to hold or obtain an AGSVA security clearance.

The Role

You’ll join our IT Audit team, delivering assurance and advisory engagements across Federal and State Government. You’ll oversee complex work from planning through to reporting, applying your technology and risk expertise to assess controls, strengthen governance and provide practical advice to clients.

The Ideal Person

You’re an experienced technology assurance professional with a strong background in ICT audit, cyber, risk or program assurance. You bring sound technical judgement, understand government environments and can confidently translate complex technology and control issues into clear, practical recommendations.
