Job summary

BDO is seeking a Senior Consultant in Perth to join Financial & Commercial Advisory. You will build and review complex financial models in Excel, translate financial and commercial issues into practical advice, and engage directly with clients on infrastructure projects and options.

With 3–5 years of relevant experience, you will support business cases, market assessments and transaction workstreams, while guiding junior colleagues in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in financial and commercial advisory, infrastructure advisory, corporate finance, transaction services or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience building and reviewing financial models, with advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience applying financial and commercial analysis to infrastructure, major projects or transactions.
• Ability to take ownership of defined workstreams and deliver within timeframes and budgets.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to present outputs clearly to senior audiences.

Responsibilities

• Build, review and maintain complex financial models in Excel to support business cases and transactions.
• Undertake financial, commercial and quantitative analysis, including scenario and sensitivity testing.
• Prepare financial and commercial analysis for infrastructure business cases and funding decisions.
• Support transaction advisory engagements, including due diligence and financial close activities.
• Prepare reports and client materials; engage with stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams.
• Contribute to proposals, EOIs and fee estimation; guide junior team members.
