InCorp Advisory (AU) is seeking a Senior Consultant to join our Finance Function division in Sydney. You will own a client portfolio and be the day-to-day contact, managing month-end, reporting, and thorough review of bookkeeping, payroll, and BAS/IAS.
You will lead an offshore team, improve processes, and collaborate with the Head of Finance Function on planning and onboarding for clients.
We are hiring a Senior Consultant into our Finance Function division in Sydney. Finance Function is the outsourced finance department for our clients — bookkeeping, payroll, management accounts, BAS/IAS, cashflow and the analysis that sits on top of it.
You will own a portfolio of clients and be accountable for what we deliver to them. That means:
Being the day-to-day contact for your clients, from owner-operators with no finance function through to CFO-led businesses.
Owning month-end and reporting — reconciliations, prepayments and accruals, fixed assets, leases, intercompany, provisions — then preparing the reporting pack and talking the client through it.
Reviewing (and preparing where needed) bookkeeping, AP/AR, BAS/IAS, payroll and payroll tax.
Directing and reviewing the offshore team who deliver much of the work — setting expectations, reviewing their output and building their capability.
Improving how the work gets done: better templates, cleaner Xero setups, more automation, and sensible use of AI tooling.
Working directly with the Head of Finance Function on client planning, onboarding and the occasional advisory piece.
At least four years in Australian public practice, business services or an outsourced finance function.
You have run a client portfolio and dealt with clients directly.
BAS/IAS and Australian payroll are second nature — you can prepare them, and more importantly, review them.
Strong month-end discipline, and you chase down a variance rather than explaining it away.
Advanced Xero and strong Excel. Employment Hero, Dext, ApprovalMax or Fathom are a bonus.
You enjoy developing people — experience leading or reviewing an offshore team is highly regarded.
CA or CPA qualified or well progressed.
You are curious about doing the work better, not just doing it.
