Job summary

Fyfe is seeking a Senior Consultant to join its Environmental Management team in Sydney. The role focuses on projects moving from approval into construction or operation, preparing environmental management plans and post-approval documentation, and delivering monitoring and compliance reporting.

You will work across NSW with a diverse client base in renewables, infrastructure and development, contributing to environmental controls and project delivery from planning through to delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in environmental management of renewable energy, infrastructure or development projects.
• Knowledge of NSW and federal environmental legislation and regulatory frameworks.
• Strong technical writing skills and ability to deliver high-quality work efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare environmental management plans for construction, operation or decommissioning of projects and post-approval documentation.
• Translate approval conditions and regulatory requirements into practical environmental controls.
• Deliver groundwater, surface water, soil and other environmental monitoring programs across pre-construction to operation.
• Conduct environmental inspections, audits and compliance reporting with clear summaries.
• Manage multiple projects to ensure quality, accuracy and timely delivery.
• Support renewable energy, infrastructure and development projects through environmental compliance.

What You'll Bring

• A bachelor's degree or higher in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in environmental management of renewable energy, infrastructure or development projects.
• Environmental monitoring experience across groundwater, surface water, soils or other monitoring relevant to pre-construction, construction and operational projects.
• Experience preparing environmental management plans (e.g. CEMPs, OEMPs, SWMPs, NMPs, WMPs etc), monitoring programs and associated reporting documentation.
• Knowledge of NSW and federal environmental legislation, approval conditions and regulatory compliance frameworks.
• Strong technical writing skills and the ability to deliver accurate, high-quality work efficiently and reliably.

Planning experience would be advantageous, reflecting the close collaboration between our planning and environmental management teams.
