Job summary

Fyfe in Sydney is seeking a Senior Consultant in Environmental Management to work on environmental management, monitoring and compliance projects across NSW.

You will help move projects from approval through construction and operation, preparing plans and post‑approval documentation, conducting monitoring and reporting, and collaborating with clients on renewable energy, infrastructure and development projects.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree or higher in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in environmental management of renewable energy, infrastructure or development projects.
• Knowledge of NSW and federal environmental legislation, approval conditions and regulatory compliance frameworks.
• Strong technical writing skills and the ability to deliver accurate, high-quality work efficiently and reliably.

• Translate approval conditions and project commitments into practical environmental controls and actions.

The Opportunity

Join Fyfe's Environmental Management team in Sydney as a Senior Consultant.

This role covers a diverse range of projects, focusing on those moving from approval into construction or operation. Responsibilities include preparing environmental management plans and post-approval documentation, conducting environmental monitoring and environmental compliance reporting.

What You'll Bring

• A bachelor's degree or higher in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or a related field.


• Demonstrated experience in environmental management of renewable energy, infrastructure or development projects.


• Environmental monitoring experience across groundwater, surface water, soils or other monitoring relevant to pre-construction, construction and operational projects.


• Experience preparing environmental management plans (e.g. CEMPs, OEMPs, SWMPs, NMPs, WMPs etc), monitoring programs and associated reporting documentation.


• Knowledge of NSW and federal environmental legislation, approval conditions and regulatory compliance frameworks.


• Strong technical writing skills and the ability to deliver accurate, high-quality work efficiently and reliably.

Planning experience would be advantageous, reflecting the close collaboration between our planning and environmental management teams.
