Job summary

Coffey Testing is seeking an experienced Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technician to join our Sydney team based at the Melrose Park laboratory. The role requires hands-on testing in field and laboratory environments with a focus on quality and safety.

Ideal candidates will have 2+ years in CMT, strong knowledge of Australia standards, and the ability to liaise with clients onsite. This full-time role offers opportunities across projects in rail, mining and infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in Construction Materials Testing industry.
• Demonstrates commitment to quality assurance and workplace safety.
• Physically fit for manual labour in field and lab environments.
• Able to work autonomously and meet client demands.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with client onsite on testing schedules, procedures and results, representing Coffey Testing.
• Perform routine quality assurance checks and calibrations, ensuring equipment is maintained.
• Complete tests including Triaxials, permeabilities, aggregates, rock testing and materials.
• Work in field and laboratory testing to Australia standards (AS1289, AS1141, AS1012).
