Job summary

Sigma Executive seeks a Senior Legal Counsel with a focus on construction and infrastructure to join its high-performing legal team, based in Melbourne or Sydney. You will work at the centre of major infrastructure projects and provide strategic legal guidance across procurement, contracting and risk allocation.

The role requires extensive experience in front-end construction, infrastructure and major projects with a proactive, pragmatic mindset and strong stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

• 8+ years' PQE in construction, infrastructure, or projects.
• Experience at top law firm or in-house.
• Strong front-end construction and major projects experience.
• Rail infrastructure experience favourable.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate major project, construction and commercial agreements (including EPC, ITC, Alliance, D&C, PPP and consultancy contracts)
• Advise on procurement strategies, tender processes and bid documentation
• Provide commercially focused legal advice across major projects, infrastructure and development matters
• Support contract management, risk allocation and project structuring
• Partner with internal stakeholders to deliver successful project and commercial outcomes
• Manage external legal advisers and supporting key project negotiations
