Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience as an Estimator in construction, commercial or residential projects preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, plant and labour requirements.
• Proficiency with industry-standard estimating software and MS Office.
• Ability to read architectural and engineering drawings and construct documentation.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage cost variables and risks.
• Proven ability to build relationships with suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate construction estimates for a variety of building projects.
• Analyse project specifications, drawings and documentation to inform estimate development.
• Clarify project scope with project managers, architects and clients.
• Use estimating software to generate tender documentation and cost analyses.
• Source quotations and negotiate pricing for competitive estimates.
• Review estimates for accuracy and compliance with tender requirements.
• Manage estimation projects from brief to delivery and meet deadlines.
• Maintain detailed records of estimates and cost data for benchmarking.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating processes.
