Job summary

Hindmarsh is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join our Adelaide team and lead the commercial outcomes of a major mixed-use development being delivered in partnership with Renewal SA. You will work closely with the Project Manager and site leadership to maximise performance from procurement through to completion.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' commercial construction experience, ideally within a head contractor environment.
• Proven experience managing commercial outcomes on medium to large-scale construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of contract law principles, construction legislation and Security of Payment requirements.
• Experience leading commercial teams and mentoring developing professionals.
• Strong negotiation, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
• Experience using CHEOPS, Aconex and similar construction software.

Responsibilities

• Leading head contract and subcontract administration across project delivery.
• Developing and implementing procurement strategies and managing major subcontractor packages.
• Identifying, managing and mitigating commercial and contractual risks.
• Managing client and subcontractor claims, variations and extension of time processes.
• Monitoring project financial performance including cashflow, forecasting and cost control.
• Preparing and presenting commercial reports to project and business leadership.
• Leading commercial compliance, contract reviews and project audits.
• Mentoring and developing Contract Administrators, Cadets and commercial team members.
• Supporting project teams with commercial strategy, negotiation and dispute resolution.
