Saab Australia is seeking a highly experienced Principal Configuration Management Analyst to lead CM across multiple Defence programs. The role demands governance, baselines, change control, and audits, acting as a trusted advisor to project and engineering leaders.

You will champion CM maturity, guide stakeholders across the organisation, and help embed scalable processes to support business growth and project success. Hybrid work arrangements apply.

Qualifications

• Extensive Configuration Management experience across complex engineering programs.
• Ability to independently author, implement and maintain Configuration Management and Data Management plans, governance and guidance across the project lifecycle.
• Strong knowledge of baseline management, change management, configuration audits and governance frameworks.
• Experience working within Defence environments and understanding of ASDEFCON requirements.
• Ability to influence, educate and build credibility with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with PLM, engineering data management and enterprise business systems.
• Exposure to IFS Applications or similar ERP/PLM platforms will be highly regarded.
• Industry-recognised Configuration Management qualifications or equivalent professional experience.

Responsabilités

• Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of Configuration Management frameworks across complex projects and product lines.
• Provide expert guidance on baseline management, change control, configuration audits and status accounting.
• Partner with Project Managers and Engineering Managers to establish, maintain and govern project baselines.
• Chair and facilitate Configuration Control Boards (CCBs) and Engineering Review Boards (ERBs).
• Drive adoption of Configuration Management principles, processes and governance across the organisation.
• Conduct configuration audits and assurance activities to ensure compliance with Defence, contractual and business requirements.
• Support the implementation and optimisation of IFS Applications and engineering data management practices.
• Mentor stakeholders and project teams while acting as a trusted Configuration Management authority.
