Job summary

AustralianSuper is seeking a Compliance Specialist to support the Governance & Accountability team. You will provide operational compliance support, assess risks, and work with stakeholders to ensure high-quality compliance outcomes.

Five+ years in compliance within the superannuation sector and knowledge of related laws are highly valued. Accreditations in RMIA or GIA are preferred or obtainable after joining the Fund.

Qualifications

• Accreditation in RMIA or GIA, or willingness to obtain after joining AustralianSuper.
• Ability to understand and translate regulatory requirements into business outcomes.
• At least five years’ experience in a compliance or similar role.
• At least three years’ experience in superannuation and knowledge of related laws.
• Experience assessing regulatory change impact on processes and outcomes.
• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational compliance support and assess risks.
• Review processes, papers, remediation materials for compliance with legislation.
• Maintain records and comply with record-keeping procedures.
• Assist with incident and potential breach assessments and escalation.
• Provide guidance and training to staff on compliance obligations.
• Develop and implement systems to meet new regulatory requirements.
• Build and maintain relationships across all levels of the Fund.
